Shridhar is currently working on a collection of short stories titled Those Among us - Tales of Our Queer Friends and Family. ​

LGBT people are our neighbors, coworkers, friends and family. We don’t know much about their lives, but we assume that they are different from us. Thanks to globalization, human rights activism and legal advances in India, contemporary Indians are curious about LGBT lives like never before. The dozen fictional tales in this debut short story collection challenge assumptions and prejudices about the Indian LGBT community and shows us that LGBT people aren’t that different after all. Through these tales, Shridhar Sadasivan bridges the gap between “them” and “us” and helps us open our hearts and minds to Those Among Us.
